Greetings from the Tahoe Filces

Mike and Cara recently went to the annual Father-Daughter Dance. Both had a wonderful time, though Mike told me Cara got teary-eyed at a sentimental song and that almost sent him over the edge. It is hard to see the kids growing up. Charlie seems to be attempting every project in The Dangerous Book for Boys book. He and Mike went and found willow branches so he could make a bow and a few arrows. He has been taking aim at a lot of things and not getting anything that moves. I think Mike is more frustrated than Charlie because the squirrel that is constantly dropping pine cones on the driveway is still alive. In the picture above, that is a chocolate mustache on Charlie; my mom was concerned he had grown a mustache already.

We are looking forward to the Kavanaughs' visit in a few weeks.

Kavanaugh Doings

We have been enjoying visits from Marianne & Steve Earle, Mom and Dad and plenty of Kavanaughs. Ty and Erin are waiting to hear about college acceptances though Ty has most of his in the bag - USD, The Citadel and VMI so far. Erin is hoping for Georgetown or Brown. We'll know by April what everyone's choices are. Ty is planning to do a college entry to a military career. Erin wants something international and did not apply to any California schools so she's definitely heading out next year. We miss all of you who have not yet been to visit this year. There is always room at Casa de Kavanaughs!
